New Hampshire's ski area's specialize in programs that are ideal for getting people to try cross country skiing. Not only are these programs simple and fun, but they offer incredible values to get you hooked on the sport! Granite Gorge Ski Area, Keene
-Learn to Ski - Includes three one-hour lessons and are held on January 27, February 3, and Febraury 10. Cost is $27 for lessons and trail tickets, $36 for rentals and the minimum age is 6 years old.
Jackson XC Ski Touring Foundation, Jackson
-Easy Sliders - A gentle introduction to XC skiing and fitness. Held on Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning in January. Instruction begins at 10:30am for one hour followed by refreshments by the fire. Rate is $10 for the session including rentals.
-Get 4 and GO - New skiers can get 4 days of rentals, lessons, trails passes and upon completion a club season pass membership for $174.95.
-Super Saver Package - Everything you need to get started cross country skiing. Package includes: A one day equipment rental package, 1 hr beginner's lesson and a one day membership which gives you use of all the trails all day for $39 (save 15%)
Mount Washington Valley Ski Touring, Intervale
-Learn to Ski - Package includes rental equipment, trail pass, and a 1-1.5 hour lesson. Group lessons cost $35 for adults and $25 for juniors/seniors. Semi-private lessons with two people cost $40 for adults and $30 for juniors/seniors. Private lessons cost $55 for adults and $45 for juniors/seniors.
