Forecast Discussion
A very unsettled pattern is setting up over the coming days bringing variable clouds, periods of snow mixing with rain, mild temperatures and some stiff winds. The first round of unsettled weather will come with a frontal passage this morning that will bring a few light scattered showers of snow and rain before transitioning to rain showers during the afternoon. The bulk of the precipitation with this frontal passage will come during the morning hours for most; for the afternoon, some showers will linger north but the south may see a bit of downslope clearing. Overnight, a low approaching from the Great Lakes will once again spread in a mild air mass as well as steadier precipitation by Thursday morning. With mild overnight lows, some areas may see snow or sleet at the start but rain is expected in the south before gradually working northward on Thursday. Thursday afternoon will once again see a brief break in the precipitation and some possible bits of sunshine, but it will be short-lived as the next low approaches for the end of the week.
