Forecast Discussion
A frontal boundary will stall out over New England through the next 36 hours, bringing mild yet more unsettled conditions to the region. Clouds that developed overnight will remain firmly in place today as a warm front slowly lifts northward through the region. The first round of rain showers will taper off through mid-morning, with temperatures rising through the mid 70s. The daytime heating could allow for some afternoon showers and possibly a rumble of thunder. Some breaks in the clouds will become possible early tonight as drier air infiltrates from the northwest. With the front remaining stalled out tomorrow, the risk for rain showers will be renewed, along with a chance of thunderstorms. Temperatures will be cooler tomorrow due to the increased cloud cover and the northwest flow, struggling to rise through the 60s.
